Mandalay-Inle Lake-Bagan-Yangon [8Days / 7Nights]


Day (1) Mandalay
Arrive at Mandalay Airport and transfer to hotel. In the evening visit to Mahamuni Pagoda, one of the most venerated golden-seated Buddha Image of Myanmar. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day (2) Mandalay  
After breakfast, excursion to Amarapura, 15km from Mandalay to visit Mahagandayon Monastery where more than a thousand monks live and study. Time permitting you will have the opportunity to observe the monks having their last meal of the day in total silence. Continue to 200-year-old U Bein teak bridge, built in 1782 at the time when Amarapura was Royal capital. Afternoon sightseeing includes the Golden Palace Monastery, a superb example of a traditional wooden building and Kulthodaw Pagoda the world’s largest book, made of marble. Visit a traditional hand-woven silk workshop as well as a Kolaga tapestries craftsmen’s shop before proceeding to Mandalay Hill for sunset. Overnight in Mandalay. 

Day(3) Mandalay-Bagan
Morning Flight to Bagan. Tour highlights of Bagan includes a visit to Nyaung U Market; Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of Myanmar stupas; Wet Gyi Inn Gu Byauk Gyi Temple with superb mural parintings of Jataka scenes; 12th century frescoes adorning the corridors of Kyansitha Cave Temple. After lunch, visit to Htilominlo Temple noted for its plaster curving; Ananda Temple with four standing Buddha Images; and Damayangyi Pagoda. Proceed to Mingalar Zedi to watch the sunset over the famous Ayeyarwaddy River. Overnight in Bagan.

Day(4) Bagan
After breakfast, visit the new viewing tower for am view, and then continue to Manuha Temple, built in the Mon-stlye in 1059; Nanpaya Temple, a unique sandstone monument said to have been the palace of King Manuha; Myingaba gu Byaukgyi Temple with its five mural paintings under the protection of UNESCO. After lunch, visit one of Myanmar’s most treasured handcrafts, a lacquer ware craftsmen’s workshop in nearby Myingaba village. And visit the site of Tayokepyay Temple in Min Nan Thu Village and Nandamanya Temple noted for exquisite murals of 13th century. Proceed to Ywahow Gyi Pagoda to watch sunset. Overnight in Bagan.

Day(5)Bagan-Inle Lake
After breakfast, transfer to airport for domestic flight to Heho. Upon arrival, proceed by road to Pindaya and visit Pindaya Caves, a unique site housing thousands or Buddha Images placed there by pilgrims over the centuries. After lunch, drive to Nyaung Shwe and transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Inle Lake.

Day(6) Inle Lake
After breakfast, a full day excursion by boat on Inle Lake will include sight of the famous leg rowers, one of the local markets in the Inle Lake region (on market days only), typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing ; village life and magnificent scenery. After lunch, visit to Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda; the wearing village of Inpaw Khon and to Jumping Cat Monastery (Nga Phe Chaung Monastery) and then to Gold and silver smith Workshops at Ywama village. Overnight stay in Inle Lake.

Day (7)Inle Lake-Yangon         
Morning flight to Yangon, Your journey begins with Yangon’s colonial-style city center. Visit Sule Pagoda, dating back 2,000 years ago; the magnificent reclining Buddha at Chauk Htat Gyi; and a photo stop at the Karaweik Hall, a ‘hamsa-bird-shaped’ floating barge on Kandawgyi (Royal) lake. Then, proceed to Strand Hotel for drinks, stroll through the Bogyoke (Scotts) Market with hundreds of food, clothes, handy crafts and gems stores and then continue visit to one of the world most spectacular monuments, the Shwedagon Pagoda. Overnight in Yangon.

Day (8) Yangon departure
After breakfast, transfer to Yangon International Airport for departure flight.
