Rakhine of the end of the first Anglo-Myanmar War in
1826. After the British occupation Italian arrived at the beach
near Thandwe. As the beach was very beautiful and
pleasant like Italian town of Naples, they named it Naples. With
the passage of time the Tran vocalization was degenerated into
Ngapali.
